K-3 Before and After School Care

We understand how difficult it is to find quality child care and set up transportation for your little ones before and after school.  The School District of Nekoosa and the South Wood County YMCA have partnered to provide you with wrap around child care. This program takes away the worries and provides a safe, fun environment for your child(ren) that emphasizes educational, physical and social/emotional components.  This is a fully licensed program that specializes in an individualized curriculum to meet each child’s needs.

Pre-School/Wrap Around Child Care (Including 4K Students)

A full day pre-school is available for three year olds in our licensed childcare facility located in the Humke Elementary School.  The pre school is open from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.  Following is a what a typical pre-school day looks like.

Days of No School/Snow Days

The preschool is open during no school/snow days at Humke and is included in your monthly rate.
